Terms of Service
1. The service
Robin is an AI-powered receptionist that answers phone calls on behalf of your business, books tentative appointments against your schedule, takes messages, and surfaces them in a dashboard. The service is provided by Robin Inc., based in Walnut Creek, California.
2. Your account
You're responsible for the accuracy of the information you provide, for keeping your login credentials secure, and for everything that happens under your account. One business per account today.
3. Acceptable use
You agree not to:
- Use Robin for unlawful purposes or to harm callers.
- Misrepresent who Robin is or what business she works for.
- Attempt to access or interfere with our systems.
- Resell the service or operate it on behalf of a third party without our written consent.
4. Pricing & billing
Robin Starter is $49.90 per month, including 100 minutes of voice time. Additional minutes are billed at $0.49 per minute and are added automatically to the next invoice. We use Stripe for billing. Prices are in US dollars and exclude any applicable taxes.
5. Trial
We offer a 7-day trial that requires a credit card on file. You can cancel anytime during the trial without being charged. If you don't cancel by the end of day 7, your card is charged for the first month and the subscription begins.
6. Cancellation & refunds
To cancel, email contact@robindesk.ai and we'll process the cancellation within 24 hours. Cancelled accounts remain active until the end of the current billing period. We do not refund the current month, but we don't charge you again after cancellation.
7. Call recording
Robin records calls for quality, training, and operator review. She discloses this on request. You are responsible for ensuring this complies with the recording laws in your state — including any two-party consent requirements. We recommend adding a disclosure to your outgoing voicemail and to signage at your practice.
8. Service availability
We aim for high availability but don't guarantee uninterrupted service. Planned maintenance, third-party outages (Vapi, OpenAI, AWS, etc.), and unforeseen incidents can interrupt Robin. We'll do our best to communicate when something is wrong.
9. No medical, legal, or professional advice
Robin is not a clinician, lawyer, or licensed professional. She relays information from the knowledge base you provide and helps callers schedule. If a caller raises an urgent medical or safety concern, Robin instructs them to call 911 and flags it for you — but she is not a substitute for professional help.
10. Warranty & liability
The service is provided "as is". To the maximum extent permitted by law, our total liability for any claim arising from the service is limited to the amount you paid us in the 3 months before the claim. We're not liable for indirect or consequential damages.
11. Changes to these terms
We'll update this page when terms change and post the new effective date at the top. For material changes, we'll email account owners.
12. Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of the State of California, United States.
